Print; a full-colour print depicting Field Marshall Sir George Stuart White, seated and in full military dress uniform, including sash, medals, kilt and sword. Pasted onto cardboard.
Sir George White was an officer of the British Army and recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He is especially remembered for his part in the Siege of Ladysmith (1899-1900), during the Second Boer War.

We respectively suggest that this print has been incorrectly identified. The portrait is not of Robert Baden-Powell, but is of Sir George White, who during the Boer War was known for his defence of Ladysmith. We have a rather poor condition contempory publication where Baden-Powell and White are pictured which we can scan and send you if you wish.
